Information Marcipán Múzeum és Cukrászda

Keszthely’s Marzipan Museum and Confectionery is located in the street opposite the tower of Festetics Palace. The front part of the building houses the confectionery where sweet delights like marzipans, cakes, ice creams and various coffees are available. At the back, you can find an exhibition, the only one of its kind in Hungary, with about a hundred marzipan creations, including the miniature marzipan version of the place and other local attractions, displayed in 20 cabinets. Most of the marzipan masterpieces were made by owner Jenő Simonfai and Ágnes, his wife. The museum’s other intriguing section showcases a wide range of wedding cakes from a cake shaped like a Swiss carriage with 12 horses to a typical American wedding cake.
