Information Piroska Csárda és Fogadó
Piroska Csárda, located by the road leading from Zamárdi to Siófok, has been in business since 1963, and bears all the characteristics of a classic csárda. The menu is just as massive as the dishes themselves, the staff is friendly, and the facility also offers accommodation. We only miss the thatched roof, which was not rebuilt after an accidental fire destroyed the original building in 2009. So today, we can walk in through an entrance that most resembles a saltshaker or a beehive oven. Accordingly, the specialty of the restaurant is the oven-baked langalló, and their trump is Olympic silver medalist chef László Nótár. The menu features the typical dishes of Hungarian cuisine, such as fisherman’s soup, cigánypecsenye, chicken paprikash, somlói galuska, and so on.
