Information Platán Restaurant & Café

On the most frequented tourist route of Tata, in a unique natural setting, in between the Castle of Tata and the Esterházy Castle, on the shores of the Old Lake is the Platán Restaurant Café and Várárok Guesthouse located, under the shades of the denominator sycamore (=Platán) tree. It is an ideal venue for family functions, conferences weddings. From the outer terrace, you can have the picturesque view of the Old Lake, with the hills of the Vértes in the background. The restaurant has pride in the food made in one of Hungary's best equipped kitchen, confectioneries, cakes and ice cream. The Mathias Tavern is an authentic venue for our regularly held wine dinners of a personal tone. Due to its features, the tavern (which is cool during summer, and heated during the wintertime) is a restaurant under the restaurant, also being frequented for business and family gatherings due to being separated from the other parts of the institution. The exclusively furnished, 12-room Várárok Guesthouse provides the perfect opportunity to relax and unwind.

Smoking is only allowed on the outer terraces. We accept SZÉP Card.

Unfortunately, we cannot allow pets in our restaurant, but in our inner and outer terraces we are happy to welcome our guests with their pets.
