Under new ownership, this restaurant has been rebranded. Formerly Liberte, the restaurant is now called Szabadság Bisztró, apparently part of a movement to Hungarianise restaurants which may have had more of an international image previously. The rebranding and the food quality was a step down from the previous incarnation. The food was grossly overpriced and poor in quality, especially given that the waiter indicated that the owner also owned a "fine dining" restaurant elsewhere in the city. Dishes were served on cold skillets, there were too many creamy aspects of the dishes, even for Hungary (including the beans in the Huevos Rancheros), the pancake seemed like it had been reheated. Though the waiter seemed concerned at our disappointment, I shall not be returning and would not recommend it. What a pity: the location and the overall structure of the place, as well as some of the furnishings, which the new owner have thankfully kept, are good.
